Built on the Word of God
What we believe shapes how we live.
At the Potter's House Church, the Bible is the foundation for our faith, our preaching, and our lives. We believe God's Word is true, relevant, and powerful—and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ still has the power to change lives today.
Our desire is not simply to know what the Bible says, but to live it out through faith, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and a life fully surrendered to Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. Its authority is ultimate, final, and eternal. God's Word is our foundation for doctrine, instruction, correction, and practical Christian living. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 • 2 Peter 1:20–21
GOD
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and created mankind in His image for fellowship with Him.
Matthew 28:19 • 2 Corinthians 13:14
Matthew 28:19 • 2 Corinthians 13:14
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is eternally God and the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin and the only way of salvation.
John 1:1–14 • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 • Acts 1:9–11 • Acts 4:11,12

John 1:1–14 • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 • Acts 1:9–11 • Acts 4:11,12
MANKIND & THE FALL
We believe mankind was created in the image of God but, through sin and rebellion, became separated from Him. Every person is in need of God's saving grace and can only be restored to fellowship with God through Jesus Christ.
SALVATION
We believe salvation is the free gift of God, made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Salvation is received through personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Through Christ we can be forgiven, born again, and given new life.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is God and is active in the lives of believers today. He empowers Christians for service and witness, develops Christlike character, and gives spiritual gifts to the Church.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to conversion, with the evidence of speaking in tongues and the continuing work of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:8 • Acts 2:1–4 • 1 Corinthians 12:4–11

Acts 1:8 • Acts 2:1–4 • 1 Corinthians 12:4–11
DIVINE HEALING
We believe Jesus Christ is the Great Physician and that divine healing is provided through His atoning work. We believe God still heals today, and we pray for the sick through faith, prayer, and the laying on of hands.
Isaiah 53:5 • James 5:14–16 • Mark 16:17–18

THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and that every born-again believer has a place and purpose within it.
The local church exists to worship God, build believers, make disciples, and fulfill the Great Commission by taking the Gospel into our communities and throughout the world.

BAPTISM & THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public testimony of a believer's new life in Jesus Christ and identification with His death and resurrection.
We also observe the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice for us, proclaiming His death until He comes again.
Matthew 28:19 • Acts 2:38 • Romans 6:3–4

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe the Christian life is one of consecration, devotion, and holiness. As followers of Jesus, we are called to continually grow in Christ, obey God's Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our lives.
THE RETURN OF CHRIST
We believe in the personal, literal, and bodily return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, and final judgment.
The return of Jesus is our hope and gives urgency to our mission to preach the Gospel and make disciples throughout the world.
John 14:1–3 • Acts 1:11 • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

OUR FAITH IN ACTION
We Believe the Gospel Is Meant to Be Shared
What we believe is meant to shape how we live. Jesus has called His Church to go into all the world and make disciples.
That's why evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and world missions are at the heart of who we are. We believe ordinary people can be transformed by Jesus, equipped for ministry, and used by God to reach others.
We preach Christ. We make disciples. We reach the world.
